The introduction of "K" Line's Global Education System, dubbed as the KLMA Concept, in May 2006, necessitated the transformation of the existing training center into one of the "K" Line Maritime Academies' (KLMA) networks around the globe.
As advocated in the KLMA Concept and the "K" Line Vision 2008+, KLMA is founded to secure and cultivate globally competitive maritime technical personnel who can undertake safe ship navigation and cargo operations and to pass on the marine technology cultivated and handed down for generations in accordance to the four principles: fostering "K" Line SPIRIT; prevention of serious maritime accidents; maintaining and improving transportation quality; and training of maritime engineers who are familiar with ship management.
KLMA is an aggregate of educational programs, where seafarers and maritime technical personnel obtain the knowledge and skills needed for their career advancement, as well as foster consciousness in operational safety and environmental preservation.
Geared towards fullfilling "K" Line's mission of sustaining safety and quality, KLMA Philippines, as part of the KLMA Global Education System, is set to train seafarers and maritime technical personnel, regardless of nationality.
